Message from Mother's Day Chair

Igbo Women League (IWL) of Minnesota celebrated her 20th anniversary last year and that was a milestone for our noble organization. Thank you to all our supporters. This year we are continuing the tradition with the 5k/1k run/walk on May 2, 2015 at Central Park in Brooklyn Park and the celebration continues with a formal adult only banquet at Ramada Plaza in Minneapolis on Saturday, May 9, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 1:00 am.

Our theme for this year is Community Health Part II, Immigrant, Heart & Mental Health; Nutrition & Fitness. The theme was initiated two years ago and back by popular demand. As always, this event is our Mother’s Day celebration and fundraising for all IWL projects: Motherless Babies Homes support, Scholarships for less privileged secondary school girls in Nigeria and our Youth Mentoring and Leadership program for children of African heritage here in Minnesota.

Tickets are available now for $50 per person and $95 per couple. There will be buffet, entertainment, music and silent auction.
